Before Intervention
This young player strikes the ball early and well in front of his head, because of this the ball goes consistently in the air
After Intervention
By changing his thought process and asking him to try and hit the ball in to the ground by his foot he plays the ball later.
It is a challenge for young players to understand what playing the ball later means, by asking him to hit it in to the floor he can understand this and make a change.
