COACHING TESTIMONIALS

Chris Rogers

AUSTRALIA

Andy was a member of the coaching and management team of Derbyshire County Cricket Club in the three years I was a player at the club.

Andy acted as assistant to John Morris who’s title was Head of Cricket. As such, Andy’s role was more ‘hands on’ in the development of players. It was left to Andy to develop the players technically – a role in which he thrived.

His relationship with the players was exceptional and particularly the younger players found his experience and technical ability beneficial.

I found Andy to be a particularly hard working coach who always offered his services selflessly and who’s passion was to improve others. He was always the first to the ground and last to leave and his humour and lively personality often lifted the side.

Personally I first started playing as the overseas player for Derbyshire in 2008, eventually becoming captain mid season which I held until 2010. Particularly initially I found captaining hard work and found Andy’s calm and thoughtful council to be extremely helpful.

I have no hesitation in endorsing Andy as a quality coach and person. He derives much pleasure from developing younger sports people in their fields and as human beings.
