Oscar Gaunt

Since Oscar qualified as a ECB Level 2 coach in 2020 he has worked full time as a cricket coach.

Working alongside me I have helped develop his skills and instill the coaching principles that I have spent over 40 years developing to ensure both technical excellence but an understanding of this tecnique in a fun environment.

"I began coaching in 2020 doing both 121 sessions and team coaching.

I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to Cape Town to coach and play, this has further allowed me to develop my skills as a coach and learn from other coaches at the cricket School of Excellence.

I have also coached at Ockbrook & Borrowash for a number of years now helping players make the jump from soft ball to hard ball always aiming to make each session enjoyable alongside improvement of skills

I have had the opportunity to coach children from 5 years old just starting the game up to experienced players including working within a in a women’s senior team environment.

I enjoy working in all areas of the game but especially bowling, to help guide people towards a safe, repeatable action which will allow them to continue to play the game they enjoy.

Within group coaching, I aim to provide an environment where players feel challenged but not overwhelmed allowing them to improve and have fun each session.

I have developed my coaching skills by observing Andy Brown but also having the fortune to coach in Cape Town for the Cricket School of Excellence"
